You don't have to be rich to rule my world

Hey! I’m sitting here drinking my La Croix water going over notes for todays blog and what the title should be, the song Kiss by Prince came to mind. In fact it’s playing right now as I type this. You may be wondering why this title . I want to talk about E-design today. And how affordable it is. E-design gives the opportunity for many to hire an interior designer where as before it seemed to be only for the wealthy, empty nesters or million $ homeowners. If you aren’t familiar with the term e-design, let me enlighten you. E-design simply put is a virtual design option offered to give clients the opportunity to create a custom room without retaining full service of an interior designer.

E-design is affordable option over to hiring a designer to actually come in your home and design your space. All this is possible thanks to the internet. All communication is done online. It’s a very interesting concept once you wrap your head around it. Various design packages are available depending on the level of service you want from your designer. For Instance your basic package might include a consultation to determine design style, color scheme and budget. From there your designer would create a mood board with your color choices, furniture and accessories. To help with visualization your designer might include a room design in 3D. For a larger package all of the above would be included along with a more extensive consultation. For example instead a 30 minute phone conversation one might allow for an hour conversation or FaceTiming. Multiple revisions of your design plan may be an option along with your room drawn to scale. The nice thing about having your design laid out on a floor plan there is no question where your furniture should be placed.

Keep in mind the bigger the design package you purchase the more service you will receive. That’s the beauty of E-design it fits every budget. You may need a little inspiration and guidance or might want help down to the last detail. It’s all up to you. I have clients that want inspiration so I create a mood mood board and a master shopping list from the mood board. Once they receive the shopping list it’s theirs as long as they need and they can purchase items from the list all at once or as the budget allows. On the other hand I have clients that want me to handle the shopping and have it shipped to them.
