Master Bath Mood Board
Happy New Year! I hope to find you making intentional decisions that will change the course of 2019. Remember it’s the daily decisions that shape your tomorrow . I have a lot of plans for this year. I am excited to put them into action. Although I am making plans for this new year I remind myself to stay in the present. Live each moment with intention. Great example is to live in gratitude. Take note of the small things . Yesterday I walked out my back door and there was a $1 bill on the patio. Your laughing. I get it . You’re thinking it’s only a dollar.
Yep just a dollar. As you learn to be grateful for the little things, life has a way of blessing you with bigger things. If you have been reading my blog, you have seen my renovations of our home. When I married Wayne and moved into his house I seriously hated it. It was stuck in the late 70’s. Paneling, ugly carpet and dark cabinets.
I love 70’s vintage decor and some furniture added to a modern home. But the whole enchilada? Not for me. I wanted to sell the house and move. I plotted for the first year of our marriage. I failed to see the blessing. I married the man perfect for me and my children. AND I didn’t have to live in an apartment. I became a home owner.
Eventually we made some changes. Minor like a coat of paint.
It’s a domino effect, it always leads to something else. So we made more changes. I also started design school and learned that some of the changes were mistakes. Better in my home than someone else’s.
EXPERIENCE IS SOMETHING THAT YOU GET ONLY AFTER YOU NO LONGER NEED IT!
A little sarcasm but another blessing to count.
Over the past 4 years we have had the opportunity to update our home. I have to say I love it! I’s not the biggest house (just under 1500 sq ft) The beauty is we are making it exactly the way we want it. It’s an expression of who we are.
We aren’t quite done yet. The next project will be our master bathroom. I showed Wayne my mood board for the remodel. (Picture Below) I swear I saw beads of sweat rolling down his forehead. You see we just finished our living room remodel less than a month ago.
